FAQs

If you are looking for an FAQ relating to the Split Worlds Masked Ball LARP, you need to go to the dedicated game FAQ.

Q: Please could you send me a copy to review?

A: Thanks for your interest! Please contact Diversion Press for a copy of an ARC.

Q: Why can't I buy the first three books in paperback format?

A: New editions of the first three books in ebook format have been released, but the paperback versions of the first three novels will be launched alongside book 4 on August 2nd, 2016. Sorry for the inconvenience. In the mean time, there are short stories and also audio and ebook versions of the first 3 novels.

Q: Are there going to be more novels in the series?

A: Yes! The fourth Split Worlds novel "A Little Knowledge" will be published by Diversion press on August 2nd, 2016 and the fifth novel  "All Good Things" will be published in 2017.

Q: I'd like to interview you for my website, how do I get in touch?

A: There's a shiny contact page here which should do the job admirably (whilst protecting my email from the dreaded spammers). Pop in your name, your website's name, your e-mail address and let me know you'd like to interview me and I'll be in touch as soon as I can.

Q: Who did the artwork for the book covers?

A: The fantastically talented Sarah J. Coleman illustrated the first edition covers. She is @Inkymole on Twitter and her website is www.inkymole.com . The current edition's covers were done by Diversion Books.

Q: Do I have to read all the short stories before I read the novels?

A: Not at all. You can read the novels without the stories, you can read the stories after the novels or both at the same time, it's entirely up to you. The stories don't contain any spoilers (I absolutely hate those!) and are designed to deepen and enrich the world of the novels. You'll find out secrets about the characters, explanations of behaviour and get clues for future stuff (I'm being deliberately vague) and one story can lead you deeper down the rabbit hole if you want to go even further….

Q: Is this one of those series you need to read in order?

A: Oh heavens yes! Really, I cannot emphasise enough that you need to start with Between Two Thorns and read Any Other Name next, then All Is Fair. Please.
